crazy cichlids

This morning I was laying in my bed watching my Oscar and cichlids. When my blue cichlid swims out and bites the Oscars tail and swims away. Im just wondering what the hecks going on. Is the cichlid feeling tough.

my convict and oscar sometimes do that. they always get along but sometimes when they meet they flare at eachother, and after 5 minutes get bored and just swim away
