cloudy green water

:? Hello can anyone help me, I have a 48gallon and its about one now and its started to get cloud green. I do the 10% water change every week don't know why it happen and would it hurt my Fontosas, Parrots, Chocolate,Green terror, any help would be great.

first of all. those fishes really shouldn't be kept together since they have different requirements.

secondly, your problem is due to algy i recommend that you shorten the timeyour aquarium is lit every day and if the aquarium is exposed to sunlight move it.

You might also use an anti algea product found in lfs to more quickly solve your problem. this will help you but you still have to change the factors that causes the problem or you soon have the same problem again.

I dont know about those species and im going to assume William is right about the compatablity.

Another way is to get an algae eater or 2 in the tank. It's what i do. Im not sure if your fish are comapatable or not.
