i've got some goldfish but i wanted to get some Orlanda's to go in with them so i need to know if Orlanda's can go in with regular goldfish

i believe you mean Orandas and if so yes that would be of no problem

no they shouldnt go in together. orandas and other rounbodied goldfish will be outcompeted for food by the much faster and agile longbodied varieties.

Can one then not just give more food so it is enough for everyone?

that would be a good way to overfeed and pollute the water, and it is stressful for the fish, and stress is the last thing you want to allow for.

Fair enough if your ferering to koi, comets, Shubunkins or anything like that but i was to believe she meant fantails so i apologize but i have kept orandas, lionheads, comets, shubunkins, Telescopes and regular fantails together n a 200 litre tank without any trouble and without over feeding
