Found out about the site when I came across it when looking for the calculator to figure how many gallons your tank is. I’m a stressed out engineering student @ UC and I've been in fish for about a year and a half. For about a year of that, I raised 4 piranhas from babies until the heater broke and boiled them! Now I have a Florida Gar, which is about 12” long, and an Alligator Gar, which is about 10” long. Also decided to get a Pleco to clean the tank up a bit and he is about 7-8” long. Right now they are in a 30-gallon tank, but I’m looking around for a 150-gallon tank so I can raise them to be beasts! When I get that tank, would like to also get a Stonefish. What I REALLY REALLY want is a snakehead, but those are hard to come around here in cincy, not unless anyone knows of any up for sale around here?!?! Of course it would be in a separate tank. I am going to try and post pictures of my tank. Nothing great yet, but working on it. Would also like to get into salt water eventually. Figure I’d start with the basics and work my way up! Talk to ya’ll later!

Id advice against a snake head because laws around here are changing very fast for thsoe fish and will soon and proubly be illegal to keep! Now you might get a speacail permit or something to keep one of these fish but the cost of it then would be terribly very expenisve.

would like to get closer ones, but i im working on the whole reflection bullshit and stuff. once i get some really good ones ill post them! The Pleco, im not sure what kind it is, i'll find out friday when i go get my feeders.
Yeah, i know the snakeheads are illegal, still want one haha.....i actually found another one that interest me, a wolf fish i believe, looks just like a snake head, but are they illegal too?
Also, on the site, i have seen alot on gars, and other fish that i love, but does anyone have any experience with stone fish? would like to put it in the big tank with the gars.
Thanks

hey Full3R, we have alot of them in the lakes around here in ohio. when my friend fish and catch one, they throw it on shore for dead.....kills me because them have pictures of some of them, and damn they would look good in a 200 gallon tank!
