my black ghost is an exception to all the rules. nev er gav eit live or anything, just put him in the tank and he started takign the shrimp pellets, sinking carnivore pelelts, and probably fallen flake food. ( he got put into the 150 with all sorts of stuff including a pair of Geophagus, a bunch of angels, a ton of bottom feeders, and other stuff). ate fine. grows slowly as i understand they all do. and when the tank got sick he was the only thing that has yet to show signs of anything. so i never had to hand fed him.

try shrimp pellets and sinking carnivore pellets. live food isnt necessary and would simply end up introducing disease.

Mine eats anything we put in front of him.. Squid, worms, cocktail shrimp, brocolli flowers, shrimp pellets etc. I play tug of war with the larger worms which usually ends up with me holding a gooey half of a worm while he took off with the other half lol
