I have made a trial aquascape for a freshwater aquarium, and I am wanting other members' opinions on it.
(The folowing rocks used were store bought, and are aquarium-safe)
Here are some pictures of the aquascape:

I thought of this design to have my aquarium resemble a curved wall of rock closing off a small body of water. I may need to add more rocks though.
Please tell me your opinion on this idea and aquascape by replying.

I see where you're going with it, and I like the idea. Thinking of using some live plants in the background, and making the foreground look like a pool?
Nice rocks, by the way.

Those are cool looking rocks. I can't wait to see how it looks all setup in your tank.

It seems like something is missing in the middle though. Live plants will probably fill in the space.

I like the rock. Those will give a nice color contrast against your gravel and background.

Are they from the brand name "Feller Stone"? That's what company made mine.
How big is your tank?
I have the same type of rocks in my 10g Zebra Danio tank. I find the rocks work quite well with a natural looking gravel. Mine has light and dark mixed into it. Just stay away from any pinkish flourescent lighting as it'll just be too much red in the tank.

I am pretty sure my tank size will be a 10g

That's the size of tank I have my lava rocks in. Work quite well and you'll find that those 2 will be a perfect fit for the 10g.
A friend of mine in Germany has quite a few of those rocks in his 100g Malawi tank. Looks very nice as they're all stacked up in the back. They give a very suddle red tone to the tank when the actinic blue lights are on, adds a lot of depth to the tank.

How did he manage to stack them up? can you show me a picture?

He just stacked them up in the back of the tank, one on top of each other, leaving open space for caves and such. I don't have a picture, but more or less, he just followed the same idea that many people do with live rock when building a reef tank.
