View Full Version : what are some good fish to get?
Hey all.
I am working on a project, and putting together a little set up. I have 10 gallon tank, and filter and all that. I am just wondering what are some tight fish that can live in one of these things. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

There are a lot of fish species that are suitable bor beginners. I am assuming that you got a heater and is going to keep tropical fish since you say "filter and all that".
Some such species are guppy, platy and sword tails.

swordtails max out a little big for a 10 gallon.
my water comes out at 7.0, I have a heater,, and a little filter. I want to get some nice trippy looking fish.
I have a ten gallon tank and we got some neon tetras. They look really nice and are good to put with many other fish.

I would go with some hardy fish like zebra danios, maybe a betta in there too. There are a lot of possibilities

I would go with some live bearers, maybe mollies or patties if you're looking for color.
There are also a lot of tetras you oculd have school of 6 or so in a 10.

My friend has a school of 6 neon tetras in his 10gal and they look great. He also has 2 candy platys, a red mickey mouse platy, and a black mollie. The tank has color and all the fish are very peaceful
