Depessed, sinking fast

I'm one of those people who for whatever reason get depressed around the holidays.
I just got an email from my Son whose been living/working in Shanghai for the past 3 years. We only get to see him once a year and it is the high point of the season.

This year he will only be able to be here 1 day! He will arrive on the afternoon of the 24th, go to see my Mother Christmas night and return to Atlanta on the 26th to help in the rebuilding of his MIL's home.

I have 11 hrs before I have to tell my Wife( his stepmom) the bad news, she will be crushed! She has to work Christmas and will only get to see him for a few hours!

This is going to be a very long day

im sorry. my family isn't allowing me to spend christmas with them so i'm spending it with my roomate and his kids/family.

So sorry also... although it won't help... most people get a little depressed around Crimbo and the New Year... I know I do...especially when I step on the scales in the new year and see the effects of all the eating during the holidays :c2:

It is nice to have family around at Christmas but we never manage it either - my hubby's and my parents are both divorced and neither will sit with each other at Christmas so we always end up flying around 4 different houses which is anything but relaxing.

Just try to make the most of it and there is always next year.. as long as you are all thinking of each other.
