I got an Oto catfish today. Im checking to see if they need anything other than Algae.

you could feed them some zuchinni, cucumber, and algae wafers if you like.

Yep, I've starved a couple of otos. Once they eat all the algae, give them some veggies. Just make sure they always have fat little bellies and you're fine. A fat oto is a happy oto. :sbiggrin:
Fresh cucumber? Just put it in the tank?

ye fresh cucumber make sure u add weight so it sink.or you can boil it for a few sec so it sink thats wat i do anyway

i'm going to start slightly boiling my cucumber. They are interested in it but don't seem to eat so much...maybe having the flesh softer will help.
You might be right nick! Hey, do you think S.A.E's will eat that too? And I guess I shouldnt leave the cucumber in there long right?

I take my cucumber out after 12 hours (it goes in for the night).
I put it in skewered on a satay skewer, so it's easy to remove.
Now, what's an SAE?
