squirt, I have no idea and don't know one snail from the others. These are those multiplying rotten things that come in plants. These guys come in the crypts I got at the store in town.

My tank is getting ridiculous. At night when I drop my wafers in for my corys, they eat about 2 and all of a sudden there has to be at least 20-30 snails covering the rest of the wafers. I was going to get some loaches but I am redoing my tank now so I'm not worried about them for now as I am selling all my fish and plants.

I do have clown loaches but the tank is too small for them.

Lady, I have successfully brought my snail problem tank under control by using a carrot sliced in half. I put the carrot halves in the tank, flat side up, at the bottom (weigh down with a little gravel at each end). Remove and rinse off (or, better yet, give to your clown loaches) the offending snails as often as you are able. Between that and thorough weekly gravel vacuuming, they are all but eliminated. Took about a month.

my puffers go crazy over all of my snails. In about 2 weeks my puffers have ate about 12 snails....
