Well another "got a cute" thread!! http://qsmile.com/qsimages/39.gif

i got that Severum and this Flowerhorn from a friend. this flowerhorn was bought by one of my FH-pro friends some months ago ( but kept by another ) and he knows what to choose, so i anticipate this one would be great if i prepare a good condition for him.

fortunately he likes my frozen mix which contains lots of beta carotene stuff ( carrot and spinach are good sources ) it helps fish get really nice colors. FH color absolutely depends on its food and water conditions. even the color of gravels, decoration and background effects on its color in long term. using colorful gravels is a way to help it get better colors!

the important matter is it should be from a good race to fulfil all these terms.
seems he has the potential to do it. he will be really AWESOME with vibrant golden, red and violet colors. hope he gets it! he has signs of them.

also i have an option to pair him with my female red devil ! http://qsmile.com/qsimages/285.gif
now hes separated with a glass divider to grow that big hump on the head.

ok i have a question. not trying to sound rude but, what tank you putting that fish in? last i heard those get huge and i know the biggest tank you have is like a 32 gallon. are you getting a bigger tank or something? Nice fish though.

Thanks buddies.

well bigevil you are wrong .... because my biggest is 40g :hmm3grin2orange:
anyway its in a 32g with a red devil, both 6" long. they are not that fast grower like oscars.

about bigger tank, i'll get another 40g soon. maybe i move them to it.
and i'm thinking on a tank like +100g for my oscars. maybe put my knife fish in it too.

Was thinking exaclty the same thing.

Oh, and aren't your tanks already overstocked by the mew severum too? You got like 2 oscars and a sev in a 32g and 2 red devils and a flowerhorn in a 32g or put the sev and flowerhorn in the same?

ah why you SRS members are blaming another SRS member http://qsmile.com/qsimages/39.gif

well i have
2 oscars in a 32g
2 little BP and 2 green terror and 1 severum in a 40g
1 red devil and 1 flowerhorn in a 32g
1 red devil in 10g quarantine ( extremely injured by the other RD )
will get another 40g soon
and a really big tank for my oscars.

BigEvil, red devil and flowerhorns usually are kept alone because they are VERY aggressive and even more stronger than the same size oscars. they can kill other fish easily. but female RD , FH can be kept with other big fish in big tanks. like i think cracktinny here has a big oscar and female RD in a big tank.
