I think this mostly had to do with the look of the band. If she ment hair metal then they were metal bands that grew their hair long and sometimes teased it. Like (as far as I know) Motley Crue, RATT, and Poison would be examples of them.

At the moment My favorite bands are The Used and Avenged Sevenfold..and The Unseen. Yeah I know your only supposed to have one favorite band but I like too many to pick just 1..hard enough to narrow it down to 3 lol.

Well I am a musical freak. Grew up around a lot of music, was a professional singer a lifetime ago.

I am a heavy/death metal head first. Bands that you probably have never heard of like Obituary, Morbid Angel, and Suffocation. However, I also love 80s rock (bring out the hair bands, Megan!) and classic rock. I am a huge Pink Floyd fan. However again, I love jazz/fusion, bands like Bela Fleck and the Flecktones and Charlie Hunter. However yet again, I enjoy a good symphony.

My CD collection is over 2,000 and growing by the month.

About 5 years ago I was really into electronic music, mainly trance.
About 2 years ago I was really into drum n bass and breaks.
Currently I m really into rock and progressive house.

Favorite artists include: Muse, Guns n Roses, Armin Van Buuren, Andy Moor, Kaskade, Andy Caldwell, Weezer, Jack Johnson, 2Pac, Snow Patrol, theres too much to name. I like everything!

I'm guessing 98 or 99 when they actually started showing cool videos and had pop up video and MTV started doing less music videos than usual. Then when it was video time, it was stupid R&B and P diddy rap.

If the person(s) who perform on stage wrote the lyrics and music, I highly respect them more than most of these pop idols.

I mainly listen to metal. Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Vital Remains and what not.
But I listen to a lot of styles. Right now I'm on a Weird Al Yankovic kick. Just got off a Beatles kick. But I do not listen to music in the car...just NPR.

I even like country, pre-Garth Brooks and Shania Twain. They changed country into this pop wannabe crap.
