What type of plecos do you have in your tanks?
As for adding to the 29, I am not sure....I have a 29 and am trying to picture all those gourami's in there and am thinking they would be running into each other quite a bit....and can't the males be a little aggressive with each other? You should have plenty of room for something else, but I am not sure what. I do know my male dwarf gets along with several types of tetras, cory's, sparkling and honey gourami's, but the tank they are in is about twice the size. Maybe adding a couple of groups of tetras would color things up and add some more life to it, there are plenty of tetras besides neons. My golds are beautiful adding a lot of yellow to my tank.

I like the golds as well. I talked to my local dealer and he told me I could fit at least 10 gouramis in a 29, but they wouldnt grow to full size, there is plenty of room I'll tey to get some pics up this weekend. As far as the two males go, they are fine together, but sometimes the male gold chases them off. I was thinking of adding some powder blue dwarf gouramis or some pearl gouramis. As far as the plecos go, they are just regular pleccostumus ( not sure how to spell it) nothing special.

I think he/she mean swordplants. Atleast there are some of those in the tank and they are listed among plants.

I ment the plants. I had problems with a large male gold gourami, but after I took him out the others don't fight at all. THey just need their own space and they are fine.

oh well in my 52 gal i have a problem with my female blue G chasing the female white G and then the male blue G chasing the two females, but i wanted to buy a neon blue dwarf gourami but wasnt sure what would happen

I have had gouramis for a while. As far as I can tell, you need to get a white male for white female, then they should pair up and leave each other alone. The two males may fight to protect their mates, but should be fine. I think if you add a neon blue dwarf it will be fine, just make sure each fish as 2 gal to be safe.

I never really told about myself. I am 16 and live about 30 min out of milwaukee. I have been keeping fish for about 10 years.

This may not come out right, so I will apologize from the begining....but why would you want to take the advice of someone who tells you you can have 10 gourami's in a 29 gallon because it will be okay since they won't grow to full size? Why would you want to house any fish somewhere that they cannot reach their full potential? I am not saying that 10 gourami's wouldn't work....I have never considered having 10 in my 29 gallon, so I couldn't possibly consider offering advice on it....but I would be leery of someone telling me "it's okay since they won't grow to full size".
When I have had people say to me that putting a fish that SHOULD grow larger into a smaller tank than necessary is okay because it will stunt their growth I ask them if they think their child's growth would be stunted if they made them live in a little closet, but fed them and took care of them. The answer is always NO....because living in a small closet won't stop them from growing...that is a natural process, but it may make them grow deformed, leading to other health problems. I feel it is the same for fish...it won't stunt their growth, but may cause problems in the long run. So, in my opinion, doing something because someone else says it is "okay" they won't grow to full size seems like you are just asking for problems and the seller is just looking for a sale.

That is what my local dealer said. I only have 6 gouramis in the tank, giving each of them 5 gallons.

The female gouramis aren't exactly blue. They're more of a grey.
