Houseplants rest in the winter months. I wondered if maybe tank plants did, as well, or do they grow just as much in all seasons?

The Aponogetons do, Hobbsy. They put all their nutrients in their bulbs in anticipation of the cool and dry season, losing their leaves in the process. They are dormant for a few months, the grow again.
The Apos that haven't been hybridized do the same thing in our tanks; grow like crazy for months, rest for a while, then explode again.
The plants that come from tropical climates haven't developed a rest period. The temperate plants from the SE US like some of the Ludwigias, don't seem to rest either in the warmth and lights of our tanks.
