ok so ive been planning on a fish tank for a month or so now, and to my luck, my nieghbors wanted to get rid of their 12g setup, so i picked it up. its got a filter, heater, light, had a thermometer too (oops, dropped it bring it up the stairs and it shattered) so i have the tank, and i filled it up with freshwater just to see how it worked/ if it worked, and to clean it out. Everything seems to be working fine, even the light.

i know i need to buy gravel and stuff before i cycle it, but what do i do now? and once i get gravel, what do I do? im a total fish keeping newbie, but now its time to learn

The company is Clear life acrylic aquarium, it was this whole kit, and it looks to be expensive, glad i got it for free hah. its the uniquarium 12g flat back hex to be exact. i just need a filter pad, and it says it should be ready to go.

anythign else i need to know/do? any tips/suggestions?

your ebook doesnt work, what fish should i get in here? i was thinking something like some small catfish or something, since i work at a fish/reptile store, and i can take it back to them when it gets too big for my tank.

i dont really want a lot of fish, nor could the tank hold it, but a catfish or like a small eel would be nice, as im not a guppy/ goldfish kinda person.
