ok...are bolivian rams, and rams in general, good for community tanks??

Planted tanks, yes, with Tetras and Corydoras cats. They need the plants and calm tankmates to thrive. To my experience Rams color up best when their tank has a dark substrate.

ok...thanks. I have just always heard of people putting rams into their tanks bt i thought that they were always just german blue rams. But i have seen aome other species around so i thought that maybe you could put any species of ram into your community tank (with plants of course)

they usually only pay attention to their own kind, So they are suited for a community panted tank.

BTW, bolivian rams are south american cichlids.
