I have a 7" green severum as many of you know. My questions are as follows:

1. Do they develop a "hump" on their head like most large male cichlids?

2. When do they stop growing? Mine has stopped at 7", is that normal?

3. What is their life span?

4. How far behind the tail fin is the anal and dorsal fin suppose to go?

5. Why doesn't everyone have one of these wonderful fish?:c1:

Male Severums reach about 8" fully grown. Females are generally smaller. They can live between 10-15 years. And if I had room for another tank...I'd probably have a pair of greens. :c2:
