Hi everyone. My male doubletail betta is taking care of a bubblenest and fry. I just noticed today that he has a fuzzy white growth on his lip. Sauron can eat fine but seems uncomfortable. What is it? How do i treat it? Will medications hurt the fry?
Thank you all

I wouldn't treat with anything, I'd do a nice large WC, fresh water does wonders for minor afflictions (assuming it's minor, can you post a pic?)

When was the last time he had a WC?...the bubble nest may get ruined, but I've never bred bettas, so don't know what kind of setup he's in

The male is in a 5-gallon with a sponge filter. I did a water change just last week.

Change 75% of the water, treat the entire tank volume with Prime (5 gallons would use .5 ml of Prime, I usually treat my 5.5's with .75 ml of Prime)

Weekly water changes are a must, IMO, for most tanks and fish (FW)

gram negative bacterial infection, you're kind of stuck until you can separate the betta from the fry.
