one of my 2 male guppies made a nest in the graves but ther isnt iven a female in ther.wuts rong with that if anything?

how did he make the nest?
this is strange yet cool at the same time

he kinda dug a deep pit in the gravel and it looks almost exactly like a nest.

I have never ever heard of a Guppy building a nest before either... they are livebearers... it is 'wham bam - thank you mam' with them and not there is not a maternal bone in them..
Maybe he is digging a grave because there are no females :ezpi_wink1: :ezpi_wink1: Sorry bad joke...
I reckon he is just digging about... I don't think it has anything to do with a 'nest'

guppies are livebearers so they wouldnt need a nest, thats really strange, could u post a picture of the "nest"? I'd love to see it

dont know how to. and by the way guppies normaly have birth by plants right? the nest is right by a plant.

Guppies give birth anywhere... as I said they are not maternal at all.. the only reason the female that gave birth doesn't eat the babies straight away is due to a hormone released whilst giving birth that puts them off for about 6hours
