frontosa goes with...?

hi. i have a 4 1/2 inch frontosa, along with 2 small plecos in my 30gallon right now. what other fishes can i put with the frontosa? dont want my frontosa to be bores :D

Nothing, the fronts need a bigger tank now! Alpha males can reach 16" in length

I have read they can be housed with African Rife Lake cichlids but as stated by Algenco, you have to have a very large tank for that fish. Even a 55 is not large enough as the fish needs to be shorter than the width of the tank so it can turn around.

It's not uncommon for people starting out to buy the wrong fish for their tank size. I would really recommend you return him and trade him in for fish that will do well in that 30 gallon ....maybe a few dwarf cichlids like rams.

as previously stated frontosas get HUGE when fully mature....i have 8 in a 300gal species only tank ....try adding a few julies for color...
