All nine of the eques tend to congregate on this rock every morning.
They were all up there, of course, until I put the camera up to take a picture.

Thank you!
Ever sense I put the eques in the 180g I have actually been able to see them! They are a very shy corydoras sp., but, feel much more secure in the bigger tank. But... still dont like me coming at them with the camera :)

Those are great looking cories. All my cories scatter when I'm near the tank.

Pretty! They must love playing King of the Hill -- what fun to see them do that every morning. Surveying their domain! hahaha

Thank you for sharing the antics.

Very nice

Someday I will have some, even if they don't come down in price :ssmile:

Me too. I paid a bit for my Cory duplicareus and Corydoras caudimaculatus a long time ago but I believe the eques are even pricier.

Very beautiful blue cories! I once ran into some really small, suspiciously cheap and pale Corydoras "eques" and couldn't help but take the bait. I thought they were travel-stressed but the low price and pale color really should've tipped me off. They grew up into magnificent Corydoras zygatus, pretty in their own right but not as pretty as C. eques.

Or C.rabauti ?

Pretty sure they were zygatus because of how large they got as well as certain color patterns, notably the orange eyebrows.

Corys have eyebrows?....I learn something new here every day

Never heared about that difference hahaha. Corydoras Umpalumpae ?

C. zygatus supposedly can be distinguished from C. rabauti by growing larger, having less vivid colors as well as bright orange markings somewhat above and behind the eyes.
As for Corydoras umpalumpae, Corydoras panda were named after their resemblance to pandas, so not too far fetched...

I can't believe you want to get rid of your gorgeous Orange lemon tetra's though, hopefully you have changed your mind ;-)

I thought they were neat from the moment I first heard of them: https://www.aquariumglaser.de/en/fish-archives/a_fantastic_lemon_tetra_en/

What are you going to replace them with?

I have 20-- they were 9 bucks each-- they are very nice, but I want to get some more African tetras for this tank.

Nice, have you found a dealer yet?

I had found both of these varieties but it was Ned's Fish factory on the east coast and he doesn't ship in winter time ( the rarer fish like this anyways). Since then, no.

Uncle Ned's Fish Factory is my LFS - I was just there yesterday.
