To Oto or not to Oto

I have a 10 gallon tank and have been wanting to get a couple of Sparkling Gouramis if I can ever find them. I am getting quite a bit of algae on my plants and I kind of want to get an oto to help clean it up but i know that I am limited due to the size of my tank. I have a few red cherry shrimp in the tank but they are not cleaning up the algae as I would like so now I don't know what to do. Any suggestions???

A pair of sparkling gouramis and maybe 3 ottos would be fine given adequate filtration and water changing.

Is that in addition to the fish I already have in my 10 gallon tank? (Fish are listed in my signature)

Oh, no, not at all. You are pretty well stocked where you are for a 10 gallon.
