i just bought 3 tanks, 2 stands, and a fluval 205(all used) for $100. all the tanks and both stands need clean up work(some more than others). the main problem is calcium build up. does anybody know a better way to remove it than a razor or a wet towel?

Soak the pieces in white vinegar. Easy and quick. Just make sure to rinse the pieces well before using them.

PH minus fluid also works super... no scrubbing needed at all with that stuff.

API sells aquarium wipes which work well for me but I am the kind of guy that likes to use elbow grease.

Mr. Clean Eraser sponge. After you get the build up off..be sure to clean and rinse the parts.
