Anyone have this type of angelfish?
So beautiful, I would say ( based purely on photos, as I haven't seen either in person) as beautiful as the Altum.

They are lovely. Wild caught Altima are still my personal favorite angel.

I've only seen them in video's, but their "red shoulder's" make them distinctive ;-)

I have seen the red shoulders in person, stunning fish. But I'm still a fan of the wild altums myself.

I've leaned about these beauties a few years ago, it's the red shoulders that sets them apart aesthetically. I wonder if it's because the tank is so heavily stocked with angels that they are picking at each other so much. No room to swim away before another angel picks at them! I guess that's how the stongest survive in the wild.

I think the Manacapuru angels would look stellar with red phantom or flame tetras depending on the tone of red on the shoulders! Especially in a Blackwater setup

I agree--- that mix would look great!

These would go with my geophagus sveni, orange lemon tetras, and lamp-eyed tetras.

I have a month or so before I can put Angel's in the 180 gallon, want to wait until the beneficial bacteria become more established before putting wild Angels in.
I have never seen the 'Manacapuru' offered at Wetspot, although someone said they had seen them there before.
They do have the Altum Angel's right now, however.
I guess ill make a decision between the two if the actually come up on the availability list within the next month--- if not, will go with 5 Altum's.

Those are some beautiful fish! I like that little standoff they had in the video. :P
