Air stone and plants

I have a Java Fern and Moss in my 10g tank. On the opposite side of the tank I have a air stone. Would it be wise to turn it off? Or will the plants be okay with it on?

it disrupts the plants CO2. just run the airstone at night when the plants dont need photosynthesis, during the day turn it off

He probably isn't using CO2 for low lights?
