Looks good.

No Ammonia, no Nitrites, and few nitrates. You must be keeping up with your water changes, or have planted tanks, right?

no live plants yet, just weekly water changing. the 10g I have to watch, it is a little over loaded..

I just wanted to make sure that these looked good to others.

I am a little worried about having a PH lvl at 8 in a tetra tank ( 10g tank ). but my tap water is 7.8, should I just leave it or try to bring it down slowly?

Neons are around 6.8 right?

Better go look this up again.

yea, Neons are 6.8 and Zebra Danio are at about 7.0

should I leave it or lower it?

pH should not be messed with to lower it. It will not stay down and puts more stress on the fish changing it.

Your water is perfect! You have cycled, right?

cycled? it is a living tank. I just did my first true water test today. guess I have been lucky. in the past all I have done is a 20% water change or so weekly, never really tested the water. but yea I have all ways let the water cycle for a week before any fish went in but this tank as been up for about 6 mouths or more..

My PH is 7.8 as well and my neons are doing just fine. All the local stores around here that I've bought from have the same PH, so just leave it constant. If you can somehow manage to maintain it lower, you'll have to do a really good job acclimating with any newer fish.

ok, I will leave it as is. just checking..

Hey Spud, were do you go for fish around here? some of the places I have gone to, well could use a good tank cleaning...

drop me some hints if you do not mind. or PM me what ever...

Rob,
My tap water is 8.2 and rock hard. I mix it with RO/DI; 70 percent RO/DI to 30 percent tap. Gives me 6.8, gH 4-5, kH 6. I keep soft water fish in my planted tanks, and that's near perfect for them.
A RO/DI unit is expensive, but if you want a particular water for your fish, is the way to go.
