Since you are one of the few (only?) active members who keep/raise CS, that kind of negates the anonymity of the contest, which IMO is one of the things that makes it fun.

Oh please. The anonymity of the photo contest is a bloody joke and everyone here knows it. Why shouldn't Boof enter his pictures. You act as though you don't know most of you don't post pictures throughout those ridiculous journals and then enter them in the contests. Don't pretend you don't know many email, messenger, text, and nearly come right out and publicly post which pictures are theirs and ask for votes from forum friends. Anonymity pffft. There is none of that in the POTM and we ALL know it. Instead of anonymity concerns, sounds like there might be some sour grapes floating around the forum today.

Of course not, enter as you please.

Back when I first joined the forum, there WAS anonymity in the POTM contest, there were MANY more entries to choose from than nowadays.

It would be nice to have more than a few entries every month.

There will always be people who keep fish and shrimp that no one else keeps. This will of course mean that some of the other members know who the poster is. This is not a problem as long as all of us try to vote for the picture we think is best regardless of who took it.

Lets all pretend that no on knows who took the pictures and hopefully the contest will grow again so that it will be harder to tell once again.

Agreed, and I hope the POTM continues to grow back to what it used to be...mac put alot of time and effort into getting it up running again.
