View Full Version : Hastatus Fry - Just One

Found this single hastatus fry in my Spec V this am. Video is poor due to glare and the speed at which he was moving. But wanted to capture it anyway. Would be nice if he makes it long term. Feeding is often the hardest part of raising fry. This tank does get frozen daphnia or cyclops often, as well as crushed flakes or similar small foods because of the chilis and adult hastatus.

Congrats on your fry, Sue! Great eyes, too -- I don't know how you kept up with the fast little guy.
I'll share your hope that this fry will be able to grow out for you. He is in good hands.

Awesome, glad for you Sue...I had a single Sterbai fry long ago, but he disappeared :scry:

Hopefully this one does well for you

It took long enough. I've had the adults since Sept, 2013. But we'll see if the fry makes it. He looks so healthy and active but so tiny and fragile at the same time.

Well done in your fry.
Mac joins you in the pains of the multiple times a day feeding. So hard to do in normal life with our being away from work to do it.
