Not my favorite, been around a long time, 1876, but all sources say they are hardy as heck ;-)

The "elegant cory," though I don't know how they got the name ;-)

I've got another corydoras species from the elegans lineage, Corydoras sp. C123 (aka "Yellow Cat"). They look similar to the elegans, except that they have yellow fins. Here they are in a breeding frenzy:

I sympatize with you but think close relatives like these are quite interesting Lee. Quite a addition !! Or will you start a thread about C123 soon ? hahaha.
