I'm now going to focus on Corydoras I've not yet kept but caught my eye either in other members tanks or you tube videos and would like to keep someday. I'll just post video's and information as I've not had first hand knowledge of these but want you good folks to see them ;-)

Matt keeps these Corydoras leucomelas, they seem to be a neat candidate for the future ;-)

I'll say!

When I first saw the vids you posted, I thought I was seeing trilineatus until I remembered that they don't have that black marking on their eyes.

Did you guys see this quote from the source I posted? "C. leucomelas is known amongst collectors in the Amazon as ''Maldito'' (the little damned Cory) because it is so common that it brings a very low price. As of 2003, collectors in Leticia, Colombia received U.S $7.00 for every 1,000 C. leucomelas they sold to Bogota exporters. It is still collected, however, as many thousand can be captured in a few hours since it is always found in very large schools."

It's hard to believe a fish could be that common :scry:

For the record, my C. leucomelas have done "OK" but not great in my 29G

I'll have to go back and look at the purchase date, but I believe I got the last 5 from TWS (at the time), and only 3 have survived

I CAN say, they get along well with my panda corys

Remember our good source DD says Panda's love everybody :smileyheart:

"Panda's are notorious hybridizers." was his EXACT quote ;-)

Hahahaha 1794 !!! What brand of camera ?
A lot of spotted are called punctatus cause that means "spotted" in Latin.
The real punctatus is hardly found in the trade cause they are mainly found in a Indian Reserve in Surinam.
Man I would like to visit Surinam one day.
