moved/redid tank

My mom wanted the christmas tree where the fish tank was so we had to move it across the living room to another wall. To do this we took all the decorations out and took out 75% of the water and pushed it a snails pace. And since i had everything out and the water level low i redid the whole thing.

yup its the 46, and i want to do live plants but were going to be buying a house very soon so i dont want to get started then have to move everything when im still very inexpierenced, So i'll just wait till after the move.

sweet.......the tank is awesome........yeah i would def. wait until you move to get live plants. Then you wont have to dig them up and destroy them in the moving process.:thumb:

I think you did a nice job. I saw all those little dots on the tank and couldn't figure out what they were. Had no idea it was the christmas tree lights reflecting on the glass!

hobbs i got the sand from petsmart, cant remember what the brand name was but its really fine almost like flour when its dry and packs nicely when wet. it was called like moon something i think

Edit: found the brand name, its called super natural made by caribsea.

Thanks for looking up the sand for me. Sure hate to shell out that much moola for sand for a 55 gallon when I could buy a canister for about the same price but, darn, that sand is sure purdy.

o and the sand is expensive but when i bought it was 50% off plus a couple coupons so i saved a bundle :c3:
