I dunno I know it is not a Butterfly

But I had to have it. So I bought it. What do you think it is? Closest I can come up with is Longfin Pleco. All of its fins even the dorsal are long and flowing, but the tips are all white on its dorsal and some on its tail.

I don't know what it is, but that is a pretty cool looking fish. Can you get any side or top shots?

I am trying to. Any slight movement and she is back under the rock. lol She is starting to slowly come out during the day. But thanks man I thought it was a good find. Very pretty pleco. thumbs2: As soon as I get some more pics I will post them for further opinons on the exact type. Thanks again.

I finally got some more shots of the other side of my little pretty pleco. In the first one you can see the white on the dorsal and tailfins. The dorsal and tailfin are also fluttery and flowing like the others. It was sold under the name butterfly pleco, but I knew it was not before I bought it. Anyone got any ideas?

A Long fin Ancistrus is commonly captive bred. It appears impossible to identify to species primarily due to a lack of original locality information .

Usually the Bristlenose is used to breed into a veil tail variation but yours doesn't have bristle's ;)

Also just found this:
Veiled temmincki is one of the common names, I have also heard them called butterfly plecos, which is what the store thomas got them from calls them. I have also heard of them called long fin pleco, veiled green bristlenose, and a few others I can't think of. The scientific name is A. Temmincki. The common version of this is a small green bristlenose, almost as green as an L200. The veil version is just a genetic mutation. The veils aren't very good swimmers as far as I have seen so far.

Thank you both. This all seems to ring true. My LFS that I frequent(and bought my new baby from)...He is a huge pleco lover and invert lover. He actually has in a display tank a pleco like mine with the flowing fins, but it is a BRITLENOSE... Me thinks this is going to be one of his babies. So maybe I was correct calling it a She/Her. This is a LFS that I trust. And it is not petsmart. lol. Always their fish look healthy and happy. Tanks always look good.(even on delivery day...my day off so I am in there) Fresh and Marine. I think this is a baby of his. So do you guys have any experience with these guys...or anywhere where I can read more about her. I fell in love with this one. He has had several albinos also just like mine.
