Is that a natural or painted type? It is beautiful but something about the blue to me that it is not normal. Something that i do not see in the other laser cories. But it might just be due to the angel of the photo or the light.

They are wild caught. I'm guessing it would look more black in a tank under plant lights.

That's a really cool laser cory, I never ever knew they existed. It's incredible they are Wild-caught, agreed with William, that stripe looks artificial. I really like the green 'glitter' on this fish. Thanks for sharing!

These beautiful Corys would look dazzling in a species tank. They must be spectacular in huge groups... Can you imagine?

Someone please start working on breeding these beauties. The world needs more of them.

Though I think some one may need to smuggle some to me. NZ givernment is not to keep for importing fish that are wild caught.

That does not require smuggling. Just re-classification. You just need someone to call them tank raised.

You know just when you take Argentinian beef, grind in NZ and get NZ ground beef, :-)

That the person is selling true live stop as per the contries rules and that I am buying legally live stock, that arnt endangered and that they comoply with out importaion conditions.


It's pretty simple if the fish are not on the wild caught list or endangered. Just once they are here the cost in disease control quarantine changes.

It's one thing I am aiming for with the fish room is to get the approved license to import fish.

Aha you have a wild caught list. Sort of likes Australia's approved species list. That is so weird to me. I am used anything that is not expressively illegal is legal not the other way around.

Yup that's its. Now you can tecnically import indangered stuff of you can prove that you will breed to restore. But thats about as hard to do as finding the goose and the golden eggs.
