ok..me and other members here are thinking about or are going into SW aquariums...like myself i don't know alot about them. SO if you could just give us some tips and suggestions on keeping them and just give us some feedback or something like that which would help us out.

thanks.

heres some basic quick ones

-go slow, do not add stuff fast
-try to get all of your live rock at once
-let the tank mature for a bit before getting corals
-still do water changes like in FW
-when replacing evaporated water, you dont need to add salt because salt does not evaporate. during water changes you need to add salt
-test water daily for ammonia, nitrates, nitrite, and salinity levels
-get lots of flow in the tank to prevent the ultimate beginners mistake, cyano (that ugly red stuff)
-get the best light your budget allows

this would greatly help,

as a suggestion, rue perhaps that post you made in the other thread explaining the difference between soft, hard, lps, sps, etc. corals would make a good sticky for beginners or even this whole thread could become a sticky
