I have been doing a little research on my trilineatus corys and have been coming across pics with small size gravel like this:

I would like to use this in my 20 gal b/c the gravel in it is a little to big so a lot of debris get stuck in it and I think having a smaller sized gravel would benefit my fish by being able to be cleaned easily. I dont quite want to go to sand with this tank but I thought this type gravel looked nice. Has anyone seen it? I dont remember seeing it in any stores but I never really looked for it.So if anyone knows if this is a common substrate or of any reliable websites that sell it that would be great.

You can get the small grade pea gravel at home depot in the garden section.

thanks for the replys I will have to check out the pea gravel and the silica sand. I did look at sand at lowes but they told me that it would kill my fish(I didnt know much at the time so I didnt get it). But I will just have to look at home depots..does anyone know how safe silica sand is for me? It said on the bag that breathing in the dust could be dangerous..or is this mainly b/c silica sand is used for sand blasting which creates a lot of dust..I wouldnt think just pouring some in a bucket and rinsing it would make a lot of dust.

You could also try pool filter sand (bought from a pool supply store) its super cheap...but not gravel, lol.
