Hillstream/borneo/butterfly loach

Hey there,

I purchased 2 borneos (as the aquarium calls them) today. I was wondering if anyone knows how to tell the difference between sexes?

They are different to my sister inlaw's which she got from the same place in March this year.

They are both very dark brown with white spots, the smaller one has these spots on his topfin as well, however the larger one has a white and black striped top fin and two bumps on its nose.

Would it be safe to assume that they are of different sex? Also has anyone had any experiance in breeding them?

It's not safe to assume different sexs. They are hard to sex. Females are fatter and there are a small difference in the shape of the fins.
