A young 17” Tiger Shovelnose-Redtail Catfish hybrid swallowed a 3-1/2” long ceramic pot fragment in the past several months.
On Sunday January 23, 2005 the shard was protruding from the fishes belly and had to be surgically removed by the fish’s owner. As of today February 6, 2005 the fish is very well and eating night crawlers. The wound is healing without stitches.
