what lighting does hornwort need???
also should youplant it or let it float???? i have heard people doing it both ways.
Hornwort as I am experiencing, is very insensitive to light. I have some planted in a 10 gallon with 40 watts of lighting and ferts and some floating in a 55 with 36 watts and no ferts. Growing like crazy in both tanks.

I have no hornwort but thought it was a floating plant. I wish my wisteria would do something. I don't think it's grown one bit in 2 months.
It is a floater but can be planted in the substrate as can anacharis.
Lady, your water wisteria is probably just establishing a very strong root base and will start growing any time now. I'm kidding, but I hope I'm right! :c1:

Hornwort is a floating plants naturally, byt can be planted. Personally, I think it looks way better planted than floating. How much light do you have on your 10gallon?

i have been wanting something new to plant in my tank, maybe i will get some hornwort.
I luv hornwort. It's a beautiful plant.
It's a floater. It can be planted, but doesn't like it. It'll stay happier and healthier if you let it float.

The hornwort will be fine, so don't worry about it. You may want to add some ferts for extra growth.

Don't think you'll need CO2 for Hornwort, but it can't hurt.

CO2 will help most plants, if not all. Plus it lowers the ph and hardness.

If you buy it from a chain store you can expect to pay about 2.30 US dollars for a bunch. If you buy from an independant LFS, you can expect to pay much less.

Why not share your spreadsheet in a post? Maybe it will be stickied and help out even more members?

easier said than done if you saw my other treads on the matter... I did however finally get it posted in a PDF format today in the plant section under my orig thread.
