Not red, no, just negatively affects your overall rating.

Oh, oh, yes, it would show up as red there, I thought you meant out in the forum, but red for a negative in the User CP.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, you are a great member here. Sometimes a negative is left just due to a misunderstanding. Unfortunately once left it can not be removed. Just like eBay's feedback system.

i am not worried but i just want to know what i did wrong....lol.....and it was in the chatterbox section (i believe) about Eriks frame that he built for his future 40g tank that he is making.

it just puzzles me.

EDIT- it was in the General Aquarium Forum spot

well click on it and it takes you to the exact post that you've got that rep for.

i think bad rep reduce 1 point from your rep points. once i was +11 by a good rep then got a bad rep and become +10.

The more rep points you have the heavier the weight giving one becomes.

i did that and this is all i said:

wow...very nice....the tank should look b-e-autiful once it is all done...great job,......i can't wait to see what the final product comes out to look like.

copy and paste

but i honestly don't care that i got a negative but like i was just wondering what the red ment.

thanks everyone for the help.

I am guessing someone just hit the wrong button when posting that rep point. Certainly no reason for a negative there!

thats what i thought and well i don't care anyways...i just wanted to know.

and for the person who did this.....i am not mad at you i just wanted to know what the red means.
sorry if i make you feel bad. i am NOT trying to make you feel guilty or anything.

There is no way for anyone other than the person who gave the negative rep to know who gave it.

I am guessing same as GM, that it was accidently done, I have given you some rep to counterweight it, but like GM says, the red will stay, when you hover over your rep box in your posting box, it still gives a good comment for you, so I would not take it to heart.

i wasn't taking it to heart....all i wanted to know was if the red ment negative or not.

Where do you go to see how many positive and negative rep points you have? I'm not finding it in the User CP.

Not something that is encouraged, once given they are there for good.

I can see no reason anyone would give you bad rep Patrick, you may be outspoken about some things, but everyone has there right to there say, within reason of cause.
