Community Fish Tank

My 55 gallon tank has eight Tiger Barbs, nine Cherry Barbs, and six corys. I would like to add two or three fish that are larger and fancier. I would like to add Angelfish to this tank. Is this something I can do? If Angelfish are not the right type of fish what would you recommend?

I wouldn't mix the angles and tiger barbs - that could end badly. The tiger barbs are a tough one to pair other fish with.

I have Gourami's with my Barbs in a 75G, no problems. Gourami's are pretty tough and stay on top of the tank generally. Cory's, Barbs and Gourami's are my mix...
