View Full Version : Banded Grumi got Dropsy help help!!

He has all the symtoms i just need to cure it how can i do that? ITs giving me the creeps too make my skin crawl

Depends on wether it is internal or bacterial dropsy. Internal are very hard to cure while bacterial dropsy can be cured by a long row of diffferent commercial treatments as well as by raising the temp and adding salt to the water.

its internal cause its summer here and the temp in the water was like in the 80s

If you know for sure that it is internal you can try purchasing meds or consider destroying the fish so that the dropsy doesn't spread.

He died also the betta i had died I islated all fish and cleanning out whole tank

as i told you on msn messager, your ph was to high. it was not dropsy.
(the ph was over 8.0) that what killed them. i see this alot. plus you did not tell them ,what you told me.

I posted this before talking to yuo Rollie and Im glad your back the betta and groumi died but I still think the grouimi did have dropsy.... He had the exact spymtoms

A pH of over 8.0 is def a problem for most fish.

Could you take a pic of it if you still think it is Dropsy?

Yea i got specail stuff for tank and everything is working! Including my filter William! amazing aint it lol!
