I just found both of my mollies dead this morning. I don't know if the pH was to hight or the ammonia. The pH is at about 6.6 and the nirite is at 0.5

I think mollies need a ph level of 7.5 to 8.5?

The PH could be higher for Mollies but they probably died of Nitrite poisining - are there any other fish in the tank?? You need to do a big water change to bring the nitrite down so you don't lose anymore fish...

Sorry for your loss

I'm dong a fish cycle. I need the fish and I have to wait for the nirite to drop before I can do a major water change.

Ahhhhhhhhhh you didn't say that... but it still explains why they died.... but in this case don't do a water change

These are the fish that you bought instead of the dannios? The ones your bought thinking that they would die anyway?

My nirtite is sky high but the ammonia is still at 0.5. Is that normal?

It sounds pretty normal. Your ammonia level will decrease over time.

if your tank is still cycling then it is normal but if you have already done your tank cycle then it is not normal

has your tank cycled?
