Oscar color?

Ok at my LFS they have an albino oscar with hardly no pink lines on it and a tiger that has yellow and red lines. Is this just from cross breeding or what? Pretty cool, I am debating on getting one of not.

There is a lot of variation among oscars, which is one of the nice things about them.

They are both real active and neat but I think I like the tiger better. Now I need to debate on getting it or not, 11$ for a 3" oscar is a lot.

well i like oscars!
IMO if you don't have any oscar now and have suitable tank for it, certainly go for them.
i like tigers more than other ones. yeah 11$ is too high for 3" O but if its so pretty and worth the price i would take it.

You dont have the room for an oscar in your 55 do you? I thought it was fairly crowded as it is. I say no, unless you got another tank for just 1 fish. Frankly, having 2 55 gallons set up and one only being for 1 oscar is sort of a waste of electricity. Id think of a different option. Actually, i wouldnt add anymore fish.

yep, thers alot of variations of oscars, i like all of them, but i find the long finned oscars a bit awkward. i love my oscar though, black with a few red patches

Seriously though, just joking with you, Kuli. I wouldn't advise you getting an oscar until you have the space.
