Hi, all. I just received some plants that Dwarfguy was kind enough to send me, including a couple species I've been wanting to try! Java fern, hygrophilia difformis, hygrophilia corymbosa, rotalla waillichi, lorotala rotundifolia.

I know what to do with java fern, and it will be going straight into my tank as soon as I check it for snails. For the rest, my tank isn't ready for them just yet. I'm afraid if I plant them now, the gouramis will eat them before they can get over the shipping stress. (it's happened before) I am thinking about planting them in a shallow bucket, in a soil under gravel substrate, putting them in a sunny window, and letting them do their thing, then planting them in my tank when I'm ready for the big remodel.

Thoughts?

Make sure to add co2. My main concern is that waillichi can get clogged with algae and debris easily. In good conditions it's a beautiful fast growing plant, but its also touchy and can degrade into a mess quickly.. The others are pretty easy to care for.
