I'm currently using 'standard' black gravel in my 75G and have been thinking about possibly changing to something a little more plant friendly. I've been looking at Eco-Complete and AquaDert from AquariumPlants.com but the cost has been prohibitive for the amount I'd need to redo the tank. Today when I was at PetSmart I saw bags of National Geographic Aquarium Substrate that looked really interesting. The grain size was significantly smaller than standard gravel and similar to what I've seen from Eco-Complete. Has anyone ever used this stuff in a planted tank? I'd love to know what you think. Thanks!
