Aiptasia???

Hello, Started a reef tank about 3 months ago. I just got the lights put on not too long ago. After I got back from vacation I noticed a bunch of white things all over the glass and on some of the rock work and equipment. Is this aiptasia and if so what would be my best attempt at ridding my aquarium of it. 41612

If you are talking about the single white thing in the center of the pic, it looks more like a sponge (maybe a pineapple sponge).

The other purple looking growths all around look more like some type of anthelia coral to me

Google some pics to see if that is what you have growing there

Cliff, I had littlte white anenome looking things all over the tank, I added 3 peppermint shrimp yesterday and as soon as I did they went straight to work and started eating the white things.

THe white thing in that pic is not a aiptasia. It is a type of sponge

Thanks Cliff. In any case, the peppermint shrimp have eaten all of them.
