i might be getting a tank 70 gal or more as a gift after i finish my gcses.
im thinking of a planted tank with this fishes.
1 arowana
6 angel fish
5 clown loach
1 paradise fish
5 upside down cat fish

will this work. can u suggest different fishes to my list and tell me whats the perfect tank size for all of them, thanks:22:

No arrowana at all! They get WAAAAAAAAY too big for a mere 70g tank.


You also have too many angels.

Try cutting it back, I would say 4 angels.

ok .what size tank suitable an arowana i really want one . my uncle got one with a gar and some other big fish its not planted tank it has rocks insted which is quit coolthumbs2:

Will never, ever, in a million years, work in a 70 gallon tank. Please research the arowana alone and you will see that it gets far too large for such a "small" tank.

In a 70 gallon tank I might go with 4 clown loaches, miscellaneous gouramis such as snakeskin, blue, platinum, gold, etc (maybe say 3 sets of 3 of them), and a bristlenose or other similar smaller pleco. Also could do an oscar tank. Or an awesome cichlid tank.

Arowana's are not that simple to look after. And they can't be put in a small tank. And not with all those small fishes. They will end up in his belly! I suggest you read up more on arowana's before getting one.

you mean african butterfly? theyre great fish, i used to have some. they need a minimum 29g so you could get one

I wanted an African Butterflyfish, but i couldn't find them anywhere! i skipped Petco b/c theyre selection isnt as great, well i looked online a couple weeks ago at the fish they had, and they had African Butterflys, i was a lil mad lol.
