I have a adult BN pleco that had some of his bristles bitten off by a cichlid, will they grow back?

I do not know for sure, but I'd bet they will, much like how fins repair themselves. The best thing you can do is provide pristine water till it heals. I would keep close eye on him to see if any infection or disease appears.

He seems to be healed, I've had him for about a week and I can't see the bites on his face anymore.

Was it a fish in its current tank that bit him? If so, I'd be for getting one of them out of there before it happens again. Poor little guy :o(

I am not sure if they grow back. I would assume so since fins grow back, but my BN has never had his bristles bitten off. You may want to separate the two.

His injuries didn't happen in my tank, he is safe now and doing very well. I was just curious about the bristles growing back.
