What can I use

G'day,

I'm about to start setting up a Tropical freshwater tank. As decor I have some drift wood (petrified wood) which is uniquely shaped, it looks like a Lord of the Rings monster!

I'm wanting to attatch some live plants onto it. What can I use? I have been told by one person that I can staple the plants onto the wood, and then another person has told me that I can't. Same with rubber bands.

What would be safe to use?

I stay away from stables. They can be made from different metals and might release unwanted metals into the water. Granted the stables are likely to small to release any dangerouse amounts since most metals are only a problem in higher levels but it still just better to avoid it all together.

rubber bands work well but it can sometimes be hard to fit rubber bands exactly where one want the plant and nylon fishing line is than a good choice.
