Btw, am I right by saying, that the reds a male, blue is female?

I might be wrong, but I think they are both male. The blue one looks like a male blue dwarf gourami. I could be wrong. The top fin isn't as pointed as I'd expect for the male, but I thought females were less colorful.

Anyway, someone will come along to confirm for sure and I'll learn something from it.

BTW, beautiful gouramis. I wish I had a couple more.

I think my husbands camera actually enhanced the blue a bit....cause s/he is more of a pale silver with a tinge of blue. Like a powder blue color. Also I just rechecked the pic and I believe the dorsal fin is pushed down a bit. Its usually taller and more rounded....(which is what made me think female)

Yep, I had one that looked just like that, but with slightly less red on the tail. I could very well be wrong, so don't take my word for it.

If you look up "female" Dwarf gouramis you'll see that the females are ALL silver/gray. The owner at the lfs even told me the reason they didn't sell the females was because they werent colorful or atractive enough.

I have 7 fire gourami's all male in a tank and they are fine. Sure as a female goes in there, all heck will break loose. If they are happy as they are, I'd leave well enough alone.

no thats a male...if you read below the pic on the website The P gave you...it says 'male dwarf gourami'.

Thats weird, b/c thats the picture I came up with when I searched "Female Dwarf Gourami" and every page I have read says that males have pointed dorsal fins and females are rounded.

I know nothing about gouramis. I just wanted to say that they are very pretty and I am glad that they have a very nice home now.
